Korean skincare became internet famous for no reason, right? And there is one incredible Korean brand- Beauty of Joseon, which was all the crave and talk of town so I had to try it! To start with, I have dry skin and I wanted to try the Ginseng line from this brand and I love it.
So, let’s go straight to the products…
Beauty Of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil
Whenever I want to remove makeup and physical sunscreen, I use this oil based cleanser as the first cleansing step in my double cleansing routine, and next I use the Benton Deep Green Tea Cleansing Foam for the water based cleanser. This oil cleanser has 50% Soybean Oil and 0.1% Ginseng Seed Oil which are great anti-inflammatory ingredients. This cleanser gently dissolves dirt, oil and makeup while giving a smooth and soft finish to the skin. It has a thin-runny oil texture which does not leave the skin feeling heavy. This cleansing oil did not irritate and dry out my dry skin and definitely met my expectations!
Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water
My my! This is my favourite amongst the entire ginseng line. Since it is the dry season, I have been layering multiple times, even up to seven times. It has 80% ginseng root, which by now we know that ginseng is an incredible anti-aging and anti-inflammatory ingredient, thus helping your skin have that youthful glow. Then we have 2% niacinamide added in this essence to boost skin radiance and maintain the moisture balance of the skin. As for the texture, it is lightweight and does not feel sticky on the skin. This essence definitely gives hydration and moisturisation to the skin and leaves a dewy and supple finish.
I quite like the overall product and can’t recommend enough, especially to dry skin types. As for oily skin, I feel that it will be fine during the cold winter days.
BEAUTY OF JOSEON Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin
Ginseng and snail mucin? This is a great combo for healing and soothing the skin. The antioxidant properties in ginseng help protect skin from environmental damages and give anti-aging benefits. Snail mucin is another stunning ingredient for skin repairing and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It reduces dark spots, improves cell turnover and restores skin barrier. The serum has a silky thick texture (but not heavy) which absorbs perfectly into the skin without leaving any kind of stickiness. There is no scent to it which is awesome. This serum has been working amazingly for my dry and dehydrated skin! It comes in a dropper bottle and is a good size for travel as well.
Beauty Of Joseon Revive Eye Serum: Ginseng + Retinal
I have never really paid much attention to eye creams but here we are, getting old so make some time for your eyes as well! This Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum: Ginseng + Retinal is what I have been trying out. It is formulated with 10% Ginseng Root Extract and 2% Retinal Liposome, which helps depuff and improve wrinkles of the under-eye area. It has a silky texture, also feels like a light gel which feels soft and smooth on the skin and does not feel sticky or heavy after application. It’s hydrating and nourishing to the skin and definitely depuffs the eye area. As for the wrinkle improvement aspect, I don’t have a say right now because it’s only been three weeks to make a statement, but I can surely say that my under eye has become brighter and smoother. Overall, it’s working fine on my skin.
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream
Let’s start with the texture, it is amazing! It is a lightweight, quite elegant gel texture. It glides amazingly and softly on my skin and gives a smooth finish. However, in winter this moisturiser is not enough for my dry skin but during the day time, it is fine because I apply sunscreen on top of it. It is formulated with rice bran water, ginseng root water and niacinamide to give anti-aging benefits, brightening, hydration, moisturization and strengthen skin barrier. I feel like oily skin types can use this.
It’s the cold weather season and this routine is giving incredible results so far. I will say that these ginseng products might work on oily skin as well, like the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water, which I’m layering multiple times. Overall, I’m liking the products.
