Simple Tips for Your Spring Skincare Routine!

Simple Tips for Your Spring Skincare Routine!

Spring is here (almost), which means it’s time to revamp your skincare routine. We have been using thick and nourishing products all winter and now it’s time to switch things up; it’s time to lighten the weight and opt for lightweight products. So, are you ready to prep your skin for warmer days ahead? Here are some tips for your simple spring skincare routine to achieve that spring glow!

Swap the cleansers

It’s time to change the creamier cleanser to a less creamy and less moisturizing cleanser as the warmer days are here. Use lightweight moisturizers like foaming or gel cleansers to keep your skin clear and clean. According to your skin type, choose the cleansers. Like, for oily to combination skin types, you might want to look for an AHA or BHA cleanser to gently cleanse off your face without stripping the moisture barrier. For drier skin, you might still want a moisturizing cleanser or maybe not a foaming cleanser, at least, as it can dry out the skin if you have very dry skin.

The COSRX Hydrium Triple Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cleanser is a stunning moisturizing cleanser for dry skin. It has a combination of three types of Hyaluronic Acids to give intense hydration to the skin while cleansing and washing away dirt from the face. It is gentle on the skin and does not leave the skin dry after washing.

For oily to combo skin types, the Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser is a good choice. It has 0.5% salicylic acid to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and excess sebum for a brighter complexion. It is a foam cleanser that does not dry out the skin.

Exfoliation is a must

If you are still not exfoliating in 2023, you better start, my friend. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and makes room for new and fresher cells. And thus, helps get rid of dullness and flakiness to give a brighter and smoother complexion. Stick to gentle exfoliating products and make sure that you are not overusing them, as it can do more harm than good if you go overboard with their usage. Exfoliating once or twice a week is ideal.

In fact, it leaves a hydrated finish post-wash. Quite a gentle product that is suitable for sensitive skin as well.

Hydrate all the way

Not drinking enough water will give you problems in life! And just like that, your skin will have problems as well. So providing enough hydration inside and out is important. For your skin, use hydrating toners and layer them multiple times according to your skin’s needs to get that plump and supple finish. Hydrating and rehydrating the skin is crucial, so carry a mist around to refresh and replenish the dry skin. Spritz the mist a few times, and voila, you are good to go again.

Mist is what you need in life for that instant hydration. During the day, when you feel like your skin is drying up, just spritz this Dear Klairs Fundamental Ampoule Mist a few times, and you will feel refreshed. Also, use this as a toner step after cleansing. This mist will offer antioxidant care while leaving the skin revitalized. It has a number of ingredients, like cucumber, rice, okra, kelp extract, etc., to give moisturizing and hydrating benefits to the skin. Suitable for all skin types and especially ideal for tired, dry, and dehydrated skin.

Incorporate antioxidants into your skincare routine

Antioxidants are powerful ingredients to protect the skin from free radicals. Free radicals are associated with premature signs of aging, as it damages the skin cells. This is where antioxidants come into play to neutralize the free radicals. It helps slow the aging process and keeps the skin healthy and youthful. So, add antioxidants like vitamin c, vitamin e, vitamin a, and vitamin B3 into your skincare routine.

Go for a vitamin c serum like Skin and Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum, which is gentle and effective. It has 15% Vita Complex to boost skin radiance, remove dark spots and improve the overall skin texture. It also has hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture and deeply hydrate the skin while giving anti-aging benefits to the skin. This serum has a lightweight texture and is non-greasy. Suitable for all skin types.

Do not neglect the eye area

The skin under the eye is the thinnest as compared to the rest of the face, and it is a good idea to have a dedicated eye cream for this area. An eye cream can target fine lines and wrinkles while providing an abundance of hydration to the skin. It will also help lessen your dark circles and puffy bags problem. You might notice the cute crow lines formed due to years of laughter (which is a good thing), but if you want to minimize its appearance, go get yourself an eye cream and start pampering this area.

This I’m from Ginseng Eye Cream contains 3.65% Six-years-old Red Ginseng Extract, which gives anti-aging benefits by protecting the skin from environmental aggressors and slowing the skin aging process. It has a light creamy texture that absorbs quickly into the skin, making the under-eye area look brighter and hydrated.
This is an incredible moisturizer for the under eye, and a little goes a long way. It is for you if you have dry/ dehydrated skin. It can be used for both morning and night routines.

Switch from a thicker to a lighter moisturizer

Colder days call for thick moisturizers, while warmer days are all about lightweight textures. So, ditch the thick winter moisturizer, as it can be a little too heavy for the warm weather.
Our skin during summer tends to be more moisturized due to the warm air, and we do not need more heaviness in our skin. Hence, you might feel tempted to skip the moisturizing step. But listen, there are lightweight moisturizers that you can opt for which wouldn’t feel heavy and clog your pores while giving proper hydration to the skin.

SPF continues…

Sun protection is a must all year long, and it’s high time you get that straight. Always and forever, your sunscreen should be your priority when it comes to skin, whether you are outdoors or indoors. Apart from protecting the skin from skin cancer, sunscreens are the cheapest anti-aging solution you can get, so start using them every day if you have not been doing so. While choosing a sunscreen, go for an SPF of 30 or higher, as the higher the number, the better the protection level.

Swap your winter skincare routine for a spring/summer routine and start anew. Make sure that you are consistent with your skincare routine.
